Samsung Galaxy S24, Samsung Galaxy S24+ and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are available for pre-order from today until 30th January, 10am. Samsung’s latest flagship trio is integrated with a host of new AI-powered features such as AI-driven search, live translation of text, notes taking and summarisation, as well as photo editing.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24+ are available in four colour finishes - Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow. The S24 Ultra is available in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet and Titanium Yellow.

How much is the Galaxy S24 Ultra?

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (512GB, 12GB) retails from S$1.928 onwards and you can save S$200 at the price of the 256GB. On top of that, you can choose Samsung exclusive colours such as Titanium Blue, Orange or Green. Should I upgrade Samsung S22 Ultra to S24 Ultra?

It depends. The Samsung S24 Ultra allows you to shoot photos at 200-megapixel resolution, and it still shares some pretty common features with the S23 Ultra. You will probably get the same overall experience on both phones. The front-racing camera on the S22 Ultra is 40-megapixel while the S24 Ultra is at 12-megapixel, which is the same as the S23. The photo editing on the S24 Ultra with AI capabilities would be one of the main pushes as it is the biggest improvement.

Anger mounts over China's response to deadly car attack
STORY: China's government faced mounting anger Wednesday over its handling of the deadly car attack there earlier in the week - and appeared to be taking steps to limit news of the incident. On Monday, a man drove into a crowd at a sports center, killing 35 and injuring 43. But the government took nearly a day to announce the death toll, and the incident has been little reported by state media. Some online posts criticising the government's response, or questioning what the attack means for Chinese society, were rapidly removed by authorities.Candles and flowers that had been laid at the scene on Tuesday evening at the sports center's west gate later disappeared.A Reuters reporter on the scene said they were removed overnight. The west side of the sports center was blocked with metal barriers and guarded by security.Despite the efforts to clear the site, many kept dropping off fresh flowers on Wednesday morning. “It was just a spontaneous feeling that I had (when I came to lay the flowers). Even though I didn’t know them personally, it felt like those time when I had family members pass away in the past.
