Patrick Tse never said that he dislikes Faye Wong
15 Aug - Yes, he has always been singing praises for his former daughter-in-law, Cecilia Cheung, but according to Patrick Tse, he never intended to make it sound like he doesn't like his son's current girlfriend, Faye Wong.
As reported on China Times, the actor, who spoke about the two women in his son's life, said that people would always misunderstand his words to mean that he prefers Cecilia over Faye, when the truth is that he likes the songstress as well.
"I always tell people that I like this daughter-in-law of mine because she gave birth to my two grandchildren. What is there to compare with two grandchildren, right?," he said.
In a previous interview, Patrick said that he likes the fact that Cecilia never failed to bring Lucas and Quintus to see him, and that she takes good care of the two boys.
However, he is frustrated that his words were taken out of context by the media.
Patrick stated that the only reason he never said anything about Faye is because he is not the kind of father who would ask his son about relationships matter. However, the actor said that Nic is very happy and cheerful nowadays, and that his current relationship must have played a big role in that.
