Nicole Ari Parker Steps Out in Paris Texas Slingbacks With Husband Boris Kodojoe for a Michael Kors Nyfw Event
“And Just Like That…” star Nicole Ari Parker and husband Boris Kodojoe popped out ahead of New York Fashion Week on Monday. While many were attending the Marc Jacobs spring 2025 show at the New York Public Library, the couple was on the Upper East Side enjoying cocktails at a Michael Kors party.
For the event, they dressed warmly in black: Kodojoe wore a black sweater, overcoat and dark wash jeans. Parker wore a black fur coat with a black dress and nearly opaque tights.

For shoes, Parker chose a sharp pair of slingback heels. Specifically, the actress wore the Lidia slingback from Paris Texas. That shoe features a sharply pointed toe and low, rounded vamp. In addition, the upper then narrows along the sides of the foot to become a slingback. The stiletto is precariously thin. It is just over four inches and raises the shoe’s single sole.
Paris Texas sells the Lidia slingback for $595. Kodojoe also chose black leather, with a pair of Chelsea boots.
Slingback styles have been getting a considerable amount of attention. Celebrities wore slingback heels throughout 2024 in a variety of heights. Everyone from Meghan Markle to Katie Holmes and Heidi Klum wore them. Though we are only a month into 2025, they’ve been getting traction already. Kylie Jenner notably wore a patent leather low style at Chanel’s show. Alessandra Ambrosio also wore a crystalized kitten heel slingback to the Marc Cain fashion show in Berlin.
