Sigourney Weaver on board for 'Ghostbusters' reboot

The upcoming reboot of "Ghostbusters" has added Sigourney Weaver, one of the stars of the original film, to its cast, director Paul Feig has announced.

"Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I'll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!," Feig tweeted on Friday.

It is unknown whether Weaver will reprise her role of Dana Barrett from the original or appear in a different capacity.

As previously announced, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, among the stars of the 1984 movie, will appear in the new version, which is to feature a female-led cast.
