Neo Yau excited to work with Adam Cheng
22 Jun – Hong Kong actor Neo Yau is excited with the opportunity to work with Adam Cheng in the upcoming ViuTV drama, "Psycho Detective: The Prequel".
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the press conference announcing the project recently, stated, "Adam shared a lot of his own opinion and ideas, so I imagine that there will be a lot of chemistry working with him and I can learn more," he said.
Neo revealed that the two of them will be facing off as enemies in the upcoming drama. He will play the young version of the role played by David Siu in the original 2017 drama.
"It's a rare opportunity to spar with a super senior. But he hasn't remembered our real name yet. We call ourselves by our character's name, so I always call him Master. This is a good way to immerse ourselves in our roles," he said.
Neo stated that the upcoming drama will begin filming in July, and that he will use the chance to get to know Adam a little bit more.
The original drama revolves around a mysterious department in the Hong Kong Police known as the "7th Action Team", who specialises in investigating supernatural cases that can't be explained with science.
