Neelofa and husband named second baby Abdullah Abbas

20 Jul – A week after giving birth to her second son, Neelofa finally revealed that she and husband Haris Ismail have named their baby Abdullah Abbas.

On 18 July, the former actress posted a photo of eldest son Bilal peeping at his little brother, and referred to a hadith that said, "Give a name with the name of the Prophets, the name most loved by Allah 'Azza wa Jalla is Abdullah, then Abdurrahman... (HR. Bukhari)"

She posted, "The name that Allah likes the most among them is Abdullah, so the beginning of his name is "Abdullah". While "Abbas", the Prophet, Peace be Upon Him, himself used to pray for him, ["O Allah! Give Ibn Abbas understanding in religion and teach him takwila"]. And thanks to the Prophet's prayer, Ibn Abbas even at his young age turned out to be very, very wise."

Neelofa stated that she and her husband hope that by giving their son this name, Abdullah Abbas will be a daie who will deliver da'wah to the whole world.

"Only God knows how happy your father and I are with this gift," she added.

Neelofa and Haris welcomed their second child on 11 July.
