Naomi Watts Proves Slingbacks Trend Is Here to Stay While Promoting New Book ‘Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause’
Slingback pumps continue to be ubiquitous with slews of celebrities left and right stepping out in the classic high-heel silhouette. Naomi Watts is just one of the latest stars to be seen in slingbacks.
The actress donned Prada’s logo-bedecked version, an ultra-popular style that has been worn by everyone from Watts’ longtime pal Nicole Kidman to Tracee Ellis Ross to Sarah Paulson. Crafted in smooth leather, the shoes are stamped with a bubbly, slightly padded leather version of the brand’s distinctive triangle logo emblem.

The sophisticated pumps, which Watts wore in black, are finished with elasticized leather heel straps and a sleek stiletto measuring just under 3 inches. Retailing at $1,200, Prada’s brushed leather slingback pumps are available to shop in black, as well as chalky white and baby pink.
The “Mulholland Drive” star — who stepped out to promote her new book “Dare I Say It” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” — also wore a navy double-breasted cashgora coat. The mid-length coat, also by Prada, featured goldtone buttons, a straight-point collar, front flap pockets, and a straight hem.
Watts accessorized with a glossy handbag, Prada’s $4,100 Galleria patent leather mini bag, and glamorous black sunglasses. She also wore chunky gold hoop earrings and gold bangle.
Watts has busy been promoting her ” informative guide to menopause and aging” this week. On the same day, she also appeared on “Live with Kelly and Mark” to talk about the personal book. The “King Kong” actress sported another pair of slingback pumps courtesy of Loewe on Tuesday. Some of Watts’ other go-to designers when it comes to shoes include Fendi, Celine, Jimmy Choo, Dior, and Khaite.
