Donnie Yen doesn't think he can do a TVB drama anymore
22 Jan - He might have starred in a few TVB series in the past and has high respect for the broadcaster, but Donnie Yen doesn't think he will be able to do another round of TVB drama.
As reported on Mingpao, the action star, who presented Best Drama at the TVB Anniversary Awards held in Macau recently, smiled when asked whether he would like to make a TVB comeback, saying, "I can't do it any longer. I am too old for it."
Donnie stated that actors who came from TVB are "very sharp", seeing that they work very hard when it comes to filming.
"I also filmed many dramas for TVB more than 30 years ago. Days and nights are reversed and I have to cope with it. Filming dramas at the time was more difficult than it is nowadays. There are many scenes where sometimes you can't sleep for 24 hours. You can't even open your eyes and you have to recite the dialogue. How much willpower you have to have for it," he said.
Nonetheless, Donnie said that being around the TVB stars brought back a lot of memories of his time with the broadcaster.
