Tavia Yeung disappointed about no accolade for husband and sister

23 Jan - Tavia Yeung recently admitted that she was a little disappointed with the result of the TVB Anniversary Awards, but not because she didn't win Best Actress.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress recently posted several messages on social media following the event, including a short video with the caption, "Every actor deserves applause."

She also tagged in the post, her sister Griselda Yeung, husband Him Law, co-star Rosina Lam, David Chiang, as well as Kenneth Ma, who also won Favourite TVB Actor for the Greater Bay Area like her.

When asked about the result, Tavia, who was nominated Best Actress for "Dark Side Of The Moon", said that she was a little regretful over the result, but only for the fact that her husband Him and sister Griselda did not win in their respective categories.

She also praised Him for his performance in "Happy Ever After?" and hoped that the two of them would win the award in the future.

In a previous Instagram post, Tavia wrote, "2024 has come to a successful conclusion. This year is a fruitful year. I am grateful for everything and everyone I have met. Congratulations to every winner. As a performer, being able to be a part of a classic drama is a rare opportunity. Don't forget your original intention and do your best in every role. This is the biggest reward for yourself. Thank you to all the audience and fans who voted for me, you are my strongest backing."

She then added, "The TV King in my mind [Him Law] we love you".

It is noted that TVB has been bombarded with criticisms following the results of this year's awards, with people questioning Katy Kung and Owen Cheung winning Best Actress and Actor respectively.
