Ming Dao returns to Taiwan for physical rehabilitation

30 May - Taiwanese actor Ming Dao has reportedly returned home to receive treatment for his leg injury.

As reported on Epoch Times, the actor, who has been focusing his career in mainland China for the past few years, was seen appearing at a renowned physical rehabilitation centre in Taipei this month to help him recover from an old injury.

Sources claimed that Ming could be heard crying in pain throughout the treatment, proving that the injury is not as trivial as it may seem.

When asked about it, Ming's manager revealed that the actor had a filming accident in 2011 when he fell off his horse due to a loosened saddle. In order not to affect filming progress, Ming persevered and only went to the doctor's three days after the accident.

It was then he found out that his kneecap had cracked.

Two years after the injury, the actor enrolled in the National Service for one whole year and went through rigorous training with the rest of the team. He later found out that in addition to aggravating his knee problem, he also suffered from a spinal cord injury.

However, instead of leaving the service as advised by his doctor, Ming pulled through in order not to cause public misunderstanding.

The manager added that it is only recently that Ming had the opportunity to return to Taiwan for rehabilitation despite his hectic schedule.
