Michelle Yeoh receives honorary doctorate from HKUST

20 Nov - Michelle Yeoh is adding another feather to her cap as she received an honorary doctorate from a university in Hong Kong.

On 18 January, the Malaysian-born actress shared a photo of her wearing the robe and cap of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and wrote, "What an honour. Thank you [HKUST]."

According to the said university, Michelle has been honoured with the Doctor of Humanities honoris causa.

In her speech, she thanked her training she had received in the field of movies over the years, which enabled her to have the status she has today.

She also thanked HKUST for allowing her to realise her dream since she was a child, and that she felt particularly happy to receive the honour from Hong Kong, which she also considered her home.
