Met Gala 2023: Blackpink's Jennie, Michelle Yeoh and more on the red carpet
K-Pop star Jackson Wang and actress Dato' Michelle Yeoh wore jewellery by Cartier.
This year's 2023 Met Gala pays tribute to the late German-born fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, whose prodigious work was seen at Fendi, Chanel, Chloé and his eponymous label. A number of celebrities and personalities chose to attend the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 1st May, honouring the theme, 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.' An exhibition examining Lagerfeld's works will be on display at the venue, alongside sketches and 150 pieces of fashion attire.

What is the Met Gala
Like previous years, the Met Gala is organised by Anna Wintour, the longtime editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine. The Met Gala is a charity event known for its fundraising efforts for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.
Who is at the 2023 Met Gala
Typically, about 600 attendees join the charity event. Big names like Madonna, actress Blake Lively, Priyanka Chopra and Lady Gaga have regularly attended. This year, we're seeing new faces at the Met Gala including Dato' Michelle Yeoh, K-Pop singer Jackson Wang, Blackpink's Jennie, Cai Xu Kun, South Korean actor Song Hye-kyo and model Sora Choi, on top of the usual bigwigs like Doja Cat, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Jared Leto.
What the stars wore
K-Pop star Jackson Wang and actress Dato' Michelle Yeoh wore jewellery by Cartier. Wang was spotted wearing Juste un Clou earrings in 18k white gold and Cartier Collection Tank Cintrée skeleton wristwatch while Yeoh wore Cartier [Sur]naturel High Jewelry transformable necklace and earrings in platinum and diamonds, Étourdissant Cartier High Jewelry ring and Panthère de Cartier ring.
Don't Worry Darling actress Florence Pugh wore Tiffany Jazz and Tiffany Victoria earrings with Tiffany Diamond Studs and stacked Tiffany Circlet and Tiffany Victoria bracelets with two rings in platinum with a diamond.
Fantastic Beasts actor Eddie Redmayne wore a head-to-toe Alexander McQueen ensemble, including a custom double-breasted tailored tuxedo jacket in black wool barathea with pearl brooch and draped chain embroidery, two-pleat wide-leg trousers in black wool barathea, a shirt in ivory silk poplin, a tie in black silk faille and boots in black leather. Everything Everywhere All At Once Ke Huy Quan wore a custom-made Dior men’s collection black striped wool peak lapel suit, a white cotton wide collar shirt, a black striped silk wide tie, a silver brooch with CD letters, black leather fingerless gloves and black leather boots. His co-star Stephanie Hsu wore a Valentino gown designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Rihanna was also dressed by Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, in a silk faille dress with five meters train and 14 meters hem and a silk faille cape with 30 camelias composed of 500 petals made by 30 seamstresses.
Singer Dua Lipa dazzled as she wore a necklace in platinum with a diamond of over 200 carats and diamonds with a ring in platinum with diamonds of over 9 total carats and Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger rings.
The night's surprise went to 30 Seconds to Mars lead singer Jared Leto and Doja Cat, who came dressed as Lagarfeld's beloved cat, Choupette.
