Margot Robbie reveals one demand for Barbie movieWarner Bros.

Barbie star Margot Robbie has revealed the one request she made when she signed up for the project.

The actress, who is currently on the promotional tour for the film ahead of its release next month, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and opened up about the one piece of iconic Barbie gear that she asked director Greta Gerwig to include in the movie.

The I, Tonya actress began: "The first thing I said to Greta when we first sat down and talked about the movie [was] 'I’ll follow your vision. Whatever you want this Barbie movie to be, let’s do that. Except I just have one favour.'

"'Please, please, please can we have a Dreamhouse where she has a slide that goes from her bedroom down to her pool, because that is my goal in life.'"

In the movie, Barbie travels to the real world with Ken (Ryan Gosling) after she loses her magic, and the La La Land actor recently addressed the criticism that he was too old to play the character.

"I would say if people don’t want to play with my Ken, there are many other Kens to play with," he joked.

"It is funny, this kind of clutching-your-pearls idea of, like, #notmyken. Like you ever thought about Ken before this?"

He continued: "And everyone was fine with that, for him to have a job that is nothing. But suddenly, it’s like, 'No, we’ve cared about Ken this whole time.'

"No, you didn’t. You never did. You never cared. Barbie never f**ked with Ken. That's the point.

"If you ever really cared about Ken, you would know that nobody cared about Ken. So your hypocrisy is exposed. This is why his story must be told. I care about this dude now. I’m like his representative."

Barbie is due to be released in cinemas on 21 July.
