Malibu's has a new strawberry flavour — and it sounds perfect for summer
Rum fans will be excited to hear that Malibu — who is known for its delicious coconut flavoured rum — has just dropped a juicy new flavour into its extensive line up which comes at the perfect time with all the summer celebrations on the horizon.
In the past we've seen Malibu launch flavours such as watermelon, passionfruit and a strawberry spritz flavoured rum, and this time it's back with a brand new flavour — Malibu Strawberry (21% ABV).
It's a strawberry flavoured rum liqueur and is bursting with ripe, sweet strawberry flavours, and combines the brand’s smooth and tropical-tasting white rum, resulting in a fruity, refreshing liqueur that can be served neat over plenty of ice or in a classic cocktail like a daiquiri.
The brand suggests serving the new strawberry rum with lemonade and ice, and garnish with slices of strawberries for a fun take on a simple serve, but we think it will be amazing in a Piña Colada for a pretty pink, berry version. Simply replace the white or golden rum equivalent in our recipe with this new strawberry-flavoured rum.
Along with the new flavoured rum, Malibu has also launched pre-mixed Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail cans (5% ABV) which sound so refreshing and will be perfect for festivals, summer parties or picnics in the park.
