Mahalini hopes to write a song for Siti Nurhaliza
17 Jan - Indonesian singer Mahalini recently said that she would love to write a song for the legendary Malaysian songstress, Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza.
The 23-year-old singer, who spoke to the media at the press conference to announce her upcoming concert, "Lovechestra Mahalini Live in Kuala Lumpur", stated that it would be an honour if she can have Siti singing her song, seeing that the singer has been quite the phenomenon in her home country.
"Even before I became the Mahalini I am today, her name is everywhere in Indonesia. I have even performed her songs on television," she said.
However, Mahalini stated that she is unsure if such a legendary singer would want to sing a song of her composition.
"I would love to compose a song for her, but the question is, will she accept my song?" she said.
Mahalini is set to perform 17 songs at the upcoming concert, which will be held at the Megastar Arena on 3 February.
