M. Nasir is now the Goodwill Ambassador of MERCY Malaysia

2 Jan – Dato' M. Nasir has been chosen to be the first ever Goodwill Ambassador for Malaysian Medical Relief Society or best known as MERCY Malaysia.

The news was shared by the NGO, saying that the decision to appoint a Goodwill Ambassador was a reflection of "shared commitment to provide a lasting impact on the humanitarian mission of MERCY Malaysia."

Speaking about his appointment, M. Nasir stated that he felt an urge to accept the offer on the basis of concern for the current situation in the world.

"After looking at my family and reflecting on what happened to the world, it opened my heart. But actually, a lot of things had made me want to do this. God willing, if there is any opportunity, I will be doing fieldwork as well to assist with giving aid," he said.

Meanwhile, the singer, who will be performing in Sabah this February alongside Hattan, stated that he believes that performers should be more moderate when it comes to holding shows during this trying times.

"Everybody needs to work. But there is a limit to entertainment. Do not overdo it," he said.
