Laura Harrier Shows Off Christian Louboutin’s Buzzy New ‘Miss Z’ Pumps at Saks Fifth Avenue’s NYFW Kick-Off Party
Laura Harrier wore Christian Louboutin’s brand-new Miss Z pumps with a glamorous black velvet dress at Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York Fashion Week kick-off party.
The “BlacKkKlansman” actress wore an ankle-length turtleneck dress featuring long sleeves and ruched detailing at the midsection. She styled the crushed velvet design courtesy of Alaia with Louboutin’s latest release, the “Miss Z.”

Harrier was also seen bundled up in a black fur coat as she left the Saks Fifth Avenue event held at New York City’s Crane Club. She further accessorized her chic, all-black look with a Saint Laurent mini bag.
The “Miss Z” made its debut at Christian Louboutin’s Spring 2025 presentation in Paris last September. The brand had synchronized swimmers perform in the new heels.
The name has led many to speculate that the new silhouette was inspired by Zendaya, who is known to be a huge fan of Louboutin’s beloved So Kate. However, when FN reached out to the brand for comment, a representative responded, “The Miss Z collection was designed and developed with Gen Z in mind as the Maison’s latest pump design, following our Pigalle and So Kate styles.”
The sleek style has a wider toe box with slightly more elongated toe than that of the So Kate, and features a unique sculptural heel designed to highlight the Maison’s iconic red soles from all angles. The curve of the stiletto is more pronounced. While the So Kate retails at $795, the Miss Z runs for $100 more due to new technology used on the soles.
Dubbed the ‘Everlasting Red Sole,’ the Miss Z features an innovative coating technique to prevent the red soles from scuffing. Thermoplastic polyurethane is injected into the sections of the sole that make contact with the ground, providing durability, as well as an anti-slip grip. Additionally, the tapered silhouette boasts a fully padded insole for a comfier fit.
Laura Harrier is a brand ambassador for David Yurman, Saint Laurent, and Louis Vuitton. She has also modeled for other luxury brands like Bulgari, Calvin Klein, and Boss.
