'King of Report' Abdul Rani Kulup is now an actor!

Abdul Rani Kulup expressed his joy when given the chance to dive into acting through the film produced by MIG.

17 Mar – The President of the Pertubuhan Martabat Jalinan Muhibbah Malaysia (MJMM), Abdul Rani Kulup who is well known with the calling 'king of police reports' has now started his career as an actor.

Abdul Rani was excited when film producer Major (K) David Teo proposed to him to star in the film "Kipidapp! Selamatkan Hari Jadi".

"Firstly, I would like to give my thousands of thanks to MIG for providing me with the chance to act because I am not an actor."

"But I have given my best during filming," says Rani Kulup at the preview of "Kipidapp! Selamatkan Hari Jadi" at Cathay Cineplex, eCurve last night.

When asked if it was tough to portray a character like Tok Daddy in the film, the 60-year-old says it was not that hard as he received a lot of help from the directors and his co-stars.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rani says he is more interested to star in films packed with action.

For the moment, Abdul Rani also reveals that he will be involved in two upcoming films produced by KRU studios and Skop Production respectively with both films having no titles yet.

Besides Abdul Rani, "Kipidapp! Selamatkan Hari Jadi" directed by Eyra Rahman also stars other actors such as Atikah Suhaime, Hafreez Adam, Aizat Hassan, Julia Farhana Marin, Kartina Aziz and many more.
