The singer also took to Instagram Story on 22 July to share a photo of him and his entourage as they arrived in KL, writing, "Touched down and found out the festival is cancelled. I love you Malaysia. I'm sorry."

He also posted several other photos, seemingly enjoying his performance-less time in KL, and joked that he wouldn't have been drunk and would know how to talk to the fans had he been able to perform at the festival.

Fans had since sung praises for the singer for still willing to commit to entertaining fans. Some also sang kudos to the hotel for letting LAROI perform impromptu.

The Good Vibes Music Festival was cancelled after The 1975 frontman Matt Healy's series of inappropriate and rude behaviour, including drinking and spitting on stage, dissing the Malaysian government, and kissing a band member.
