KathNiel's "2 Good 2 Be True" won't be extended

26 Oct – Although fans have been calling for the series to be extended, "2 Good 2 Be True" director Mae Cruz-Alviar stated that she felt that the KathNiel comeback series should end the way it originally intended.

The director, who sat down alongside lead actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla during the press conference for the finale, stated, "It's hard to say goodbye... Why end something good? But then again, it's good to end with a bang and on a high note rather than stretch and stretch."

Mae stated that while it is not impossible for the team to continue the story, it would be better for them to end it while it's still fun.

"We're very happy to hear that people are saying that. We are very happy. It's really heart-warming to be told, 'You can extend it.' But right now, at this point, this is where it should end, and we're happy that we're ending on a high note," she said.

On the other hand, lead actress Kathryn stated that they would rather not force it.

"It's hard to let go of the show, to be honest, especially now that we're a little bit closer to each other. But this is it. Watch the finale and you'll see what I mean when I'm saying that it's really enough," she added.

"2 Good 2 Be True" first aired in May this year and has a total of 130 episodes overall. It marks the return of the love team KathNiel to television five years after "La Luna Sangre".
