Kakai Bautista is happy to be free of COVID-19

17 Sep – Kakai Bautista recently revealed that she is now COVID-19 free.

As reported on GMA News, the comedienne, who spoke to "24 Oras" about her struggle with the coronavirus, stated that she was able to overcome this challenge through proper self-care and a lot of optimism, after finding out that she was positive for the coronavirus following a swab test that she underwent for an event.

"Every time I went to sleep, I really prayed to the Lord, I really surrendered. 'Lord, it's up to you, but remember this, I cannot die yet because the world will lose a beautiful person'," she said.

She was finally declared free from COVID-19 on 11 September.

"I was so relieved. I cried a little, but I still don't want to cry because I prefer to be happy because crying adds eyebags. At least now you know that you have another chance to be healthier," she said.

In a previous Instagram post, Bautista admitted that the coronavirus was "no joke", but that she tried her hardest not to be too anxious about her condition.
