Joyce Cheng won three awards at Ultimate Song Awards

3 Jan - Joyce Cheng is proving herself a worthy contender as the next Hong Kong top star as she won three awards at the recently held 2016 Commercial Radio Ultimate Song Chart Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer's dance number "Goddess" won both the Ultimate Music My Favorite Song and the third spot in the Ultimate Music Professional Recommended Top Ten.

As for Joyce herself, the singer won the Ultimate My Favourite Female Singer.

Accepting the award on stage, Joyce took out her mother Lydia Shum's trademark glasses, and shared that she once told her mother, whom she lost nine years ago, that she will continue to make her proud.

She also thanked her critics, saying that they are the driving force for her to continue to do her best in music.

2016 had been a good year for Joyce. Aside from the Ultimate Song Chart Awards, she was also one of the big winners at the Hit Awards, with three accolades including Breakthrough Female Artiste.
