Joyce Cheng reveals her lonely side in new song
25 Sep – Hong Kong singer Joyce Cheng stated that her new song, "About Loneliness" perfectly encapsulates the other side of her personality behind the cheerful exterior.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who began promoting the new song recently, shared that she didn't plan to release a new song this year, but that she received the demo from Supper Moment's band member Sunny, who actually composed a song based on her idea about loneliness.
"All the other songs that I made have been very positive, but this song shows my fragile side. I never expected that Supper Moment paid attention to me, and understand that lonely side of me," she said.
Joyce stated that she couldn't help but cry when she first received the lyrics, saying that it was like a dose of Chinese medicine.
"I do feel that even when I find my happiness in the future, get married and have kids, there will be lonely moments. So it is important to learn how to get along with yourself," she said.
Joyce also revealed that she would get her friends to be with her whenever she feels sad and lonely.
