Singapore’s first Olympic gold medalist Joseph Schooling has become the first man to appear on the cover of Harper’s BAZAAR Singapore in the magazine’s 17-year history.

The swimmer appears on the June issue of the magazine, dressed in a made-to measure BOSS tuxedo in his first-ever fashion cover.

The cover pays homage to Harper’s BAZAAR US’ February 1965 issue, which saw famous American actor Steve McQueen become the first man to grace the cover of a women’s fashion magazine.

The June issue, which throws the spotlight on local trailblazers, is available on newsstands.
