Jess Sum wants to learn to be independent
14 Jan – Jess Sum recently admitted that she has decided to leave TVB in order to try and be independent rather than remain comfortable under the same management.
As reported on On CC, the actress, who recently announced her departure from the company, shared with the media that she hopes to try different types of jobs instead of only doing television drama.
"I want to have more development in my career and give myself new opportunities. I will try to work hard, and hopefully have a new beginning in the New Year," she said.
Jess, who is dating businessman boyfriend Calvin, also dismissed rumours that she is getting married.
"I just want to give myself a fresh start after being with the company for more than ten years. They have always protected me all this time, so now I want to try to get out of my comfort zone and explore the world," she said.
