Jeannie Hsieh posts cryptic message following Li Jing's on-air revelation
17 Jan - Taiwanese singer Jeannie Hsieh has made an indirect response on social media following a recent controversy involving TV host Li Jing's accidental revelation about her personal life.
On 15 January, Jeannie posted a story on Instagram featuring herself performing on stage surrounded by fans. The post was set to Sasha Alex Sloan's song "Too Sad To Cry" and included an encouraging message reading, "Be positive, sister, don't be afraid!"
The post comes in the wake of an incident during the taping of Li Jing's show "Omg What?", where Li Jing accidentally mentioned the name of the alleged father of Jeannie's child. Following the incident, Li Jing has issued apologies both during the programme and on social media.
The controversy touches on a sensitive topic in Jeannie's life. In 2009, it was revealed that the unmarried singer had a son, who was 12 years old at the time. Jeannie has consistently maintained her privacy regarding this matter, previously stating, "I hope to give my family more space so that I can protect my child."
The incident has reignited public interest in a topic that Jeannie has deliberately kept private for over 15 years.
