Jade Thirlwall just recreated Lil Kim's iconic MTV VMAs look for her 30th bday
We love a celebrity fashion tribute, especially when said tribute is from the 90s. So when we heard that Jade Thirlwall celebrated her 30th birthday this weekend with a truly epic throwback-themed party, we were already excited. And you'll be glad to know that the pics do not disappoint. For the occasion, Jade went and recreated Lil Kim's iconic lilac nipple pastie outfit, worn to the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. And boy, did she kill it.
On Sunday, the birthday girl shared pics of her look on Instagram. And rather than paying a subtle tribute to Lil Kim's famous Misa Hylton outfit, Jade went all-out with her ensemble featuring everything from the seashell-shaped nipple cover to the matching pastel wig. Yep, she *fully committed* to the dress-up.
"It’s that time of year where I force my friends to do fancy dress to celebrate my (early) birthday in the hopes of overshadowing Santa 😂," Jade wrote in the caption. "honouring an icon…I’m the L-I-L to the K-I-M. Disagree? Well that’s you and I’m sorry 🎶"
