Joyce Chen confirms she has become a mother
5 Jul – Following recent rumours that she has secretly become a mother for the last three years, TVB actress Joyce Chen finally addressed the rumours on social media.
Sharing several photos of her daughter on Facebook, Joyce first apologised for not responding to questions about it much earlier and that she was surprised over the interest about her motherhood journey.
She explained, "I should have announced this 3 years ago. But a lot of things happened at that time, so I didn't have the heart to announce good news to everyone... This is a precious gift from God to me and I will surely cherish it."
The 47-year-old also stated that there is no need for people to speculate about her partner, saying that he is just a non-showbiz person who wants his privacy.
"I have always done things in a simple and low-key manner. I am very afraid of complicated things. I believe that friends who are familiar with me will know my personality. Thank you, friends who care about me, for reminding me not to let the reports affect my mood. I am okay! When people reach this age, nothing else is important. The most important thing is good health. Whether it is my family, friends, cats or dogs, they must be healthy! Thank you again for your concern for me."
