Jaclyn Victor: I am not the one who determines the winner!
12 Dec – Jaclyn Victor can do nothing about your dissatisfaction about her winning the "All Stars Gegar Vaganza" competition.
The singer, who bested seven other competitors to win the title, was asked about netizens' comments regarding her win, especially as many rooted for Liza Hanim to win that night.
"I hope that the fans can calm down. I am not the one who gave the overall scores. I, myself, have left it all to fate. But it's a blessing for me," she said.
At the same time, Jac stated that she was prepared to admit defeat if a different singer won the competition.
"When I was on stage, I told myself to just let it go. Whoever wins, I would be happy for them. Liza also did well, but I don't know what was the criteria for the jury scores," she said.
The singer won a cash prize of RM200,000 as well as several other prizes, performing the Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston's "When You Believe" as well as a duet of "Sandarkan Pada Kenangan" with Jamal Abdillah. Meanwhile, the other contestants received RM10,000 each as well as other prizes for their participation.
Prior to "All Stars Gegar Vaganza", Jaclyn won the ninth season of the show that was held last year.
