Irma Hasmie and husband have been divorced for six months
2 May - Following the controversy surrounding her husband's new marriage, it was finally confirmed that Irma Hasmie and Redza Syah Azmeer have been divorced for a while now.
TV personality Amin Idris recently shared a statement made by a source claiming to be a friend of Irma, saying that the two have officially ended their marriage six months ago.
As to why the confirmation was made, the source, named Reen Emran, said that they wanted to avoid more slander, and that the statement was made with Irma's permission.
"With the question now answered, I hope that everybody will give some space for my friend," the source said. "Praise be to God, He has given her something better and more beautiful. God willing, she will be performing her Hajj soon. Please pray for my friend's well-being. Thank you everybody."
Redza previously shared photos from his wedding on social media, which led to backlash from many who accused his new wife of being a homewrecker. He had since put his Instagram account on private.
