Hyde's "Pandora" is the theme song for new "Star Ocean" entry

7 Sep - It was revealed that "Pandora", a song by rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel's frontman and singer Hyde will be the theme song for Square Enix's new role-playing (RPG) game.

The news was shared by the RPG, "Star Ocean: The Divine Force" via Twitter, stating, "We're excited to announce that the artist HYDE's first new song of 2022, PANDORA, will be the theme song for #StarOcean The Divine Force!"

The song will be released digitally on 21 October.

The said RPG, the sixth entry in the franchise, is set to be released for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 27 October 2022.

The synopsis read, "On a routine transport mission, Raymond Lawrence's spaceship is attacked by the Pangalactic Federation and he crash lands on an underdeveloped planet. He meets Princess Laeticia, who is fighting to protect her homeland from an invading empire. Together, they set off on an adventure that will shake the foundations of the entire universe."
