Hugo Ng says winning at TVB Anniversary Awards would be a bonus
26 Nov – Despite rumours that his drama has a chance to win at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, Hugo Ng stated that he will take the rumours with a grain of salt.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the taping of "Cantopop at 50" recently, stated that he would be happy if his series, "Finding Her Voice" wins at the awards, but that it would just be a bonus.
"I have been away from TVB for more than 20 years. To be able to star in a good drama and play a good role, getting people recognise me on the streets, is already like winning an award to me," he said.
On the other hand, when asked about rumours that co-star Jacqueline Wong would not get a nomination despite her good work, Hugo said that that is a matter between her and TVB.
"Everybody did a good job in the drama," he added.
Hugo also revealed that he has been offered a lot of good gigs since doing the drama, and will soon travel to Malaysia to perform at a charity event.
