Hugo Ng is happy with reception to "Finding Her Voice"

21 Oct – TVB actor Hugo Ng is happy that his new drama, "Finding Her Voice" is getting a positive reaction from the audience, especially since it was nearly shelved by TVB due to Jacqueline Wong's previous scandal.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke about the drama, which began airing last week, shared that the light-hearted drama came at a right time as Hong Kong continues to face civil unrest that has been going on for many months.

"[Screenwriter] Long Man Hong has really written a great story that holds true to real life. I really liked the story when I first read the script," he said.

Hugo also admitted that he seemed to be getting recognised by more people since the drama aired.

"I was drinking at a restaurant recently when a child recognised me. I was very moved. That feeling is worth more than any award," he said.

Hugo, who had just turned 60 this year, said that he has experienced a lot of highs and lows in his life, and has learned that the most important thing is to have an optimistic look on life.

"Sometimes you think that your performance is not as good as it should be and the thought makes you unhappy. But all you need to do is take a shower and have some nap. As my father taught me, the most important thing in life is acceptance," he said.
