Shawn Yue shows off ring after surprise wedding to Sarah Wang
Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue surprised fans on Tuesday (5 December) after revealing on social media that he has tied the knot with Taiwanese model Sarah Wang.
The couple had an intimate wedding surrounded by close friends in Melbourne, Australia nearly a year after rumours of them dating had surfaced.
The 36-year-old “Infernal Affairs” actor shared a touching post on Instagram to share the news. Accompanying a black-and-white photo of the couple in their wedding outfits, he wrote, “I met the right person at the right time.”
He added, “I am thankful for filling my life with positive energy, joy and laughter… In the last 12 months, you have brought about a sea of change in my life. I thank you for your trust in me, and am grateful to you for entrusting your remaining days into my hands. I will definitely bring bliss to you and take care of you well.”
Meanwhile, Wang said on Instagram, “Having been through half of my youth, I guess I’ve met the right person – a man who is worth entrusting my happiness to!”

Wang is the daughter of Wang Dong Sheng (nicknamed “King of Belts”), who owns Taiwan’s biggest leather company. According to the Apple Daily, the couple will head to Taiwan for another wedding ceremony before returning to Yue’s hometown.
Yue shared more photos the next day, showing off the groomsmen, bridesmaids and wedding bands. One of the photos also showed the cute couple in matching slogan T-shirts. Wang’s T-shirt said, “girlfriend fiancée wife” while Yue’s said, “boyfriend fiancé husband”.
