Holly channels the Duchesss of Cambridge's Back-to-School look in earthy polka dot frock

Holly Willoughby finishes of her first week back on This Morning today (Thursday 8 September), since her summer break, with a classic polka dot tea dress. And we can't help but notice the similarities between her pretty frock and The Duchess of Cambridge's school drop-off outfit, worn to take Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte to their new school yesterday (Wednesday 7 September).

Polka dots are a classic for a reason and have been seen everywhere this summer. With these earthy neutral tones it seems they'll be riding right through into autumn.

While Kate's Brown Rixo frock is already sold out, there's still stock remaining of Holly's burgundy Finery number and it comes in a classic navy and white spot print too.

The timeless midi dress features an A-line silhouette, accented with faux pearl buttons, and a sweet collar, while the blouson elbow-length sleeves have just enough length for comfort and coverage while remaining playful and on trend.

Semi-fitted and made from satin back crepe, makers Finery say the frock is 70’s inspired, though it's easy to see it's nods back to earlier 20th century style.

The versatile look is so wearable as it's formal enough to be dressed up for occasion-wear, simple enough to pop on with white trainers for a casual day look, and smart enough for the office. We should all be aiming to choose items of clothing we'll wear over and over again as it's one of the simplest ways to be sustainable in our fashion choices, and this is a real winner in that regard.

Finery Jaela Polka Dot Midi Dress is available in sizes 8-20, in Navy and Bordeaux colourways, RRP £89
