Hebe Tien cancels remaining two shows due to earthquake

20 Sep – Just as she finally gets to perform at her concert in Kaohsiung, Taiwanese singer Hebe Tien recently had to cancel two of her remaining shows due to safety concerns following the previous earthquake.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the singer, who previously had to halt her 17th September concert for 15 minutes as an earthquake hit during the middle of the show, released a statement on 19 September that her two remaining shows will now be cancelled.

"Due to the frequent earthquakes in Taiwan recently, after a careful meeting between the organiser and the artist team, in order to take into account the safety of the audience, the performance team and all the staff reluctantly announced the cancellation of Hebe Tien's One After Another Tour Kaohsiung Station on 18 and 19th September," the statement read.

This is the latest issue that has befallen the said tour. The concert was originally scheduled to be held from 13 to 16 May, but was postponed to 9 September due to the pandemic.

However, just 24 hours before the concert on the 9th of September, Hebe had to postpone it again to the 16th after losing her voice due to a cold.

Unexpectedly, the concert, which has been running for two days, has to be cancelled now due to the earthquakes.
