Han Byul says sorry for not being able to perform at Malaysian keroncong show

8 Aug – Han Byul has recently apologised for not being able to perform at the Malaysian Keroncong Rhythm Appreciation Concert that was held for two nights last weekend.

The Korean singer admitted that he was saddened over the news after it was shared to him by the organiser, seeing that it was one of his biggest shows this year.

"A lot of fans wanted to see me perform and I felt sorry for them. Some even came from outside of KL and abroad. I hope I can repay them in some way soon," he said.

Han Byul admitted that he and his team had been preparing for the said concert for the past three months, and were looking forward to perform.

"But I believe that there are things in life that happen unexpectedly," he added.

Meanwhile, organiser Nazrul Asraf Mahzan stated that Han Byul was unable to perform due to a problem with the Application for Filming Foreign Films and Performances of Foreign Artists (Puspal).

"It's a pity that the opportunity to introduce Malaysia's keroncong heritage to the international level and be sung by a Korean singer who is also the winner of the Big Stage Program in Malaysia was stopped and any appeal was rejected by Puspal," he said.
