Halina Tam to open two more snack shops

23 Aug – It seems that actress Halina Tam's business is developing well as she recently revealed that she is opening two more snack shops at the end of the month.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media at an investment event recently, shared that she now manages four shops overall, despite having to close down the business in Mongkok and Tsim Sha Tsui due to rent increase and manpower shortage.

"All the staff from these two places will be transferred to the new store in Tung Chung and Kowloon Bay. It's very hard to get employees for this kind of business. No one wants to do it since it's hard work," she said.

Halina also revealed that her two new snack shops will be a bit different from the existing ones.

"We will add new elements, for example, sandwiches and frozen drinks. We will also set up a central workshop in order to control the quality of our food," she said.

Despite the challenging nature of the work, Halina said that she still loves the business.

"I plan to open another restaurant next year. My plan right now is to get investors," she added.
