Gloria Yip is not in a hurry to fall in love again

13 Jan – Although it has been 20 years since she ended her marriage with businessman Chen Pak Ho, Hong Kong singer-actress Gloria Yip stated that she is in no hurry to find a new partner for herself.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared on the latest episode of the ViuTV show, "Everything Begins with Divorce", stated that she has been single all this time for the sake of her children and does not regret it one bit.

"I didn't want my children to have to adjust themselves for other people, and they would have to do so if I remarried. I just wanted to be a responsible mother. I didn't want another relationship to reduce my time with them," she said, when asked about her past decision to stay a single mother.

Although both of her kids are already in their 20s, Gloria stated that she does not feel the urge to find another partner as soon as possible.

"The condition for choosing a spouse is still about feelings. Of course, I want to enjoy my single life for now, do whatever I want, and go wherever I want," she said.

Asked if her children would be okay with her marrying again, she laughed and said that her daughter even encouraged her to find a new love life.

Gloria was only 22 when she tied the knot to toy businessman Chen Pak Ho, but the marriage only lasted five years after the latter was revealed to have been having extramarital affairs.
