Girls' Generation's Im Yoon-ah, also known as Yoona, was recently in Singapore on 28 September, where she made a guest appearance at Estee Lauder's Beauty Sleep Lounge pop-up at Paragon Mall. Earlier on, the singer-actress, best known for her work in 'Big Mouth' and 'King The Land', was in good spirits when she met with members of the press at Hilton Singapore Orchard to discuss her skincare journey and bedtime skincare routine.
In a question posed by Yahoo Life Singapore, Yoon-ah said that if she were given 24 hours to do anything, she'd want to explore Singapore: "If I have 24 hours today, then I really want to travel around Singapore. Today, the schedule is very tight, so I don't have any time to look around the city."

Yoon-ah's beauty routine revealed
With such a busy schedule, what is considered beauty sleep for Yoon-ah? The singer-actress replied, "So when I have a busy schedule, there are days when I can't sleep properly. In that case, I try to use Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair cream to make sure my skin looks fully rested and well. That is how I make my skin feel healthy and rejuvenated."
With Singapore's hot summer weather all year long, Yoon-ah advised to just use the essential beauty products. "During summer, I think the skin needs to breathe well; the skin base is very thin and for skincare, I try not to use too many products. I try to focus on simply using essential products and of course, before I sleep I make sure to use the Advanced Night Repair to maintain the skin's vitality," she said.
The one wish that Yoon-ah hopes to achieve is that she stays healthy every day and every year: "I want to stay healthy with no troubles and issues. I want to ensure that everyone stays healthy because health is the most important thing and I want to wish that for everyone."
On her secret to maintaining beautiful, flawless skin, the gorgeous Yoon-ah shared: "I think the utmost thing is definitely skincare and cleansing because for me, for my work schedules, I wear makeup almost every day. I ensure the importance of cleansing and basic skin care to make sure my skin stays hydrated and moisturised, and that's how I keep my skin healthy and vitalised."
The 'It Girl' of her generation
Tipped as the 'It Girl' of her generation, Yoon-ah is experiencing success transitioning from singing to acting. Her role in 'King the Land' even drew praise from fans and critics who commented on her strong acting and chemistry with her lead actor, Lee Jun-ho.
In an interview with Forbes, Yoon-ah said she wanted to experiment with a light-hearted role in 'King the Land': “Since my last work, 'Big Mouth' was noir, I knew I wanted to do something lighter and brighter for the viewers. In particular, I was fascinated by Sa-rang‘s brilliant and responsible sides when it comes to her work, in addition to her bright, sensible and lovely sides. I thought many people would like her if I portrayed Sa-rang well.”
