Loewe's best 2023 handbags to shop now – including the Flamenco pouch

Spanish luxury brand Loewe has an impressive and culturally rich background, that almost, always, makes us sit up and pay attention when something new gets announced. Part of LVMH's roster of luxury brands, Loewe has been around since 1846 as a group of artisans who craft leather goods in a workshop in Madrid.
Over the years, a number of creative designers have honed their skills at the luxury leather maker, namely Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Narciso Rodriguez and Stuart Vevers, but it was Jonathan Anderson who really remade Loewe and transformed the label into an IT brand with iconic looks and bags like the Puzzle bag, and now the Paseo and his modern take on the Flamenco pouch.

1. Loewe Flamenco pouch
The Flamenco pouch was first introduced in 1970, and its modern and timeless style is still loved by many celebrities and personalities today. Vevers first updated the look with drawstring pulls and tassels, and Anderson added knots and Loewe's iconic anagram on it.
Models like Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Claudia Schiffer have been spotted out and about in various colours of the Flamenco pouch, and so did actresses Emily Blunt and Ashley Greene.
Made from nappa calfskin, the material is soft to the touch and the soft shade illuminates at every angle you hold the pouch at.

2. Loewe Paseo
The Paseo made its debut on the Spring/Summer 2023 runway that was adorned with blooming flowers. What a sight! The Paseo is made to have more length than depth and can be worn with a long strap or just carried with a top handle. It comes with a knotted tubular leather strap and gold chains that give it an elevated look.

3. Loewe Puzzle Bag
The real magic of the Puzzle bag comes with the skilled talents of Madrid's artisans combined with Anderson's vision. It takes nine pieces of structured leather pieces to form this bag, and the process takes about nine hours as well. It isn't puzzling either (pun, intended) that the hottest influencers to celebs then turn up in droves with the Puzzle bag. It is a statement piece, after all.
