Gin Lee wants to spend a long holiday in hometown in Malaysia

14 Sep - Hong Kong-based Gin Lee recently revealed that she is going back to her Malaysia home for a long vacation, following her departure from Universal Music.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke about her plans recently, stated that she would like to use the opportunity of a long holiday to visit relatives and friends.

"I haven't taken a big vacation for the past ten years in the industry, and I haven't been home since the pandemic. I want to use this chance to see the family, visit friends in Singapore, just eat good food and compose songs. I want to do things that I haven't done in recent years," she said.

Asked how long she would be away, Gin said that she could be staying for two to three months.

As to whether she will not be attending the music awards in Hong Kong, which are mostly held at the end of the year, Gin said that there is no arrangement for her to attend for now, though stressed that she will keep in touch with her fans through social media.

"I may not check my phone all the time during the holidays, but I will share my experience on social media to let my fans know that I am okay," she added.

As for her work following her departure from record label Universal Music, Gin assured that she has actually received lots of offers from other companies, and at the same time looking into establishing her own studio.

"I hope to find a team that has the same philosophy as me when it comes to music," the singer said.
