SINGAPORE – The latest long-established food joint to make its foray into shopping malls is Ah Chiang’s Porridge, known for its luscious Cantonese style congee. This is the latest addition to their Tiong Poh Road and Toa Payoh outlets.
Since its original days at Tiong Poh Road, Ah Chiang’s porridge has retained the authenticity of the original recipe the brand has stuck to since 1971. Priding itself on all natural old school taste, Ah Chiang’s ingredients are freshly delivered daily.
At the new JEM outlet, Ah Chiang’s Porridge will be offering its signature congee as well as the side dishes on the original store’s menu. The store will be offering a Jem-exclusive special, the Three Egg Porridge ($4.80) boasting a trio of salted egg, century egg, and egg. Diners can also tuck into well-loved favourites such as: Mixed Pork Porridge ($4.80), Fish Stomach Porridge ($5.80) and Pork Ball Porridge ($5.80). The Pork Ball Porridge is made with freshly hand-kneaded pork balls for a smooth and springy texture.
You may pair the porridges with their best-selling sides including the limited-quantity Ginger Chicken ($6.00), Salmon Yusheng ($6.00) and crisp, golden fried You Tiao ($2.00) to complement your meal.
