SINGAPORE – At first glance, Vdivov is not your every day makeup brand. Vdivov lines up standout formulations in the form of highly pigmented lippies, full-coverage base products and smudge-proof, long-lasting eyeliners.

Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore tried out the double stay cushion, dual concealer and different lip products and decide whether the professional makeup brand stays true to their claim of long-lasting makeup.

Double Stay Cushion

Just like what other cushions in the market do, it promises flawless coverage (naturally), a lightweight, skin-like finish (but of course), as well as sun-protection in the form of SPF50+ (expected). The velvet puff helps to increase the level of coverage and after application, we noticed that pores are significantly minimised, with an incredibly skin-like finish.

And just like what other cushions are prone to, it does slip and slide off in hot, humid weather. After 4-5 hours of application and running errands in town, we spotted a cakey-like texture on the skin. It also felt more greasy than a regular liquid foundation.

The multi-functional concealer piqued our interest. One end bears a stick formula, the other is a creamy liquid. The latter reveals a long-wearing and insanely high-coverage concealer that hides even the most discernable of imperfections effortlessly, smoothing over skin and staying for hours.

On days when heavier coverage is needed, we would veer towards the liquid concealer. However, the cover stick is a strong contender as well, simultaneously concealing dark eye circles while minimising the appearance of angry zits.

Lip Cut Rouge Velvet

We were immediately attracted to the eye-popping colours that promise to brighten up any look. Highly pigmented and semi-matte, this lipstick leaves a velvety texture and does not dry out puckers. This is a hydrating formula that ensures you are not left with cracked or peeling lips at the end of the day, avoiding the pitfalls commonly found with matte lipsticks. It certainly lives up to its claim of long-lasting colour when we noticed it stays put even after lunch.

Pro tip: You need precise application to perfect that lip so fully concentrate when you are applying it.

Lip Cut Fluid Velvet

The Fluid Velvet is a liquid-form of its Rouge Velvet counterpart. Likewise, it provides bold coverage, long-lasting wear, and a velvety-like texture. It certainly is a combination of the Rouge Velvet and the Shine Gloss (more on that later). But it does not boast the staying power of the Rouge Velvet nor the thick texture of the Shine Gloss.

The Rouge Velvet would be a better option if you want something that stays put and lasts a little longer. Or if you prefer something more glossy and hydrating, go for the Shine Gloss as the Fluid Velvet does dry down to a matte finish and puckers can be prone to cracking.

Lip Cut Shine Gloss

The Shine Gloss does not deliver as much colour as its Rouge and Fluid Velvet sisters, however, it makes up for it with a radiant and shimmery finish. Containing more than 70 percent of "Lip Conditioning Oil Serum", you can be sure your lips will be moisturised and you do not have to worry about chapped lips. The product glides effortlessly onto your lips when applying. The only downside is that its thick and sticky texture can feel heavy as the hours go by so apply it sparingly.

Vdivov is available at The Face Shop Singapore outlets.
