Florence Pugh Reunites with Ex Zach Braff at 'A Good Person' Premiere
Florence Pugh had a fashionable reunion with Zach Braff at the United Kingdom premiere of their latest movie, A Good Person.
The former couple posed together on the red carpet at yesterday's event. Pugh's sophisticated look, pulled from Erdem's pre-fall 2023 collection, included a black crop top with a ruffled mock neck, stripes of black sequins, and side ties, as well pleated high-waisted trousers in a gray houndstooth pattern, and dramatic black opera gloves with an attached floor-length cape effect. She capped the outfit off with satin platform heels from Valentino and diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
Meanwhile, Braff looked suave in a gray-and-purple plaid suit, a white button-up, and black dress shoes.
Braff wrote, directed, and produced A Good Person, which stars Pugh opposite Morgan Freeman.
The director talked about coming up with the idea for the screenplay while living with Pugh during the COVID-19 lockdown.
"There was nothing to do other than to start a screenplay because that’s what I meant to do, that’s what I like to do, and I wanted to write something for Florence, and this is kind of what came out of me," he said during a Q&A session after yesterday's screening, according to Variety.
Pugh added, "He knows how I talk, he knows how I take the piss out of people and I think he just put that in his script and I was allowed to come and fill in where it was needed. But reading something that is dedicated for you written by someone who knows you so well is a wonderful gift."
Pugh confirmed their split in an interview for Harper's BAZAAR's September 2022 cover story. They had been romantically linked since 2019.
"We've been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it's been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on," she said at the time. "We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we're not together. So we've done that. I automatically get a lumpy throat when I talk about it."
