Fizz Fairuz: Do not condemn "Mat Tudung Begins" before watching!

10 Jul – Dato' Fizz Fairuz recently asked for people to watch his movie first before making assumptions about it.

The actor, whose directorial effort, "Mat Tudung Begins" is set to be released in August, recently took to Instagram Story to respond to Islamic preacher PU Syed, who earlier made a statement after seeing the poster of the movie, which depicts Fizz as well as fellow actor Achey in headscarves.

PU Syed, real name Syed Mohd Bakri, condemned the poster, saying that it is wrong for Muslim men to dress like a woman.

To that, Fizz responded, "Thank you, Syed. But that statement is false. It's not like I dress like a woman every day. It's just a movie. Do not ban it before you know the actual story."

The upcoming movie, directed by Fizz himself, stars comedian Achey, actress Isyariana, Indonesian social influencer Mimi Peri as well as Korean content creator Maryam of Duriankimchi fame.

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -A Malaysian court dismissed jailed former Prime Minister Najib Razak's legal bid to obtain a document that he said would allow him to serve his remaining prison sentence under house arrest. In a judicial review application filed on April 1, Najib said an "addendum order" issued by the former king had accompanied a pardons board's decision in February to halve his 12-year jail sentence for graft in the multibillion-dollar 1MDB scandal. Najib had sought for the court to compel the government to reply to or confirm the existence of the royal order, which he said would entitle him to serve the remainder of his term under house arrest, and to execute the order if it existed.
