Fitri Farok aspires to become an actor
4 Jan – Fitri Farok hopes that he would be able to be an actor, just like his grandmother and veteran actress, Normah Damanhuri.
The Hero Remaja 2023 first runner-up, who spoke to the media after his win, said that he had always wanted to continue his grandmother's legacy, and that his family is supportive of his decision.
"I remember what my grandmother said [when I joined the competition], that win or lose is part and parcel of being in a competition. What's important is your honesty. I held on to those words and I brought her spirit with me during the Q&A session in the final stage," he said.
Meanwhile, Fitri admitted that he was surprised when he and winner Aiman Ameer were announced as the final two, saying that he was only focused on his performance at the time.
"I was only doing my best, and praise be to God, I was announced the first runner-up," he said.
Meanwhile, Normah took to social media to congratulate Fitri, whom she called Satria, for his victory, writing, "Congratulations my filial grandson. What a meaningful birthday present for you this year."
