Fei Yu-ching wants to avoid watching music shows
1 Feb – Taiwanese singer Fei Yu-ching recently admitted that he is planning to stop watching entertainment shows temporarily once he retires from the music scene.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who announced his retirement in September last year, admitted that a new life would take some getting used to, which is why it would be hard for him if he has to watch music shows on television.
"I'm scared that if I saw them, my heart would itch. But if you come back after announcing you're retiring, it would just be embarrassing," he said.
It is noted that Fei will be performing on Shanghai Oriental Television's Lunar New Year event on 5 February as part of his final events. The singer will officially retire following the end of his tour.
"I may not even dare read the entertainment section of the newspaper. It may affect my mood," he added.
Fei announced his retirement nearly a year following his father Chang Wu-hsi's passing, a loss that deeply affected him. The singer's brother and fellow singer Chang Fei previously admitted that the family didn't inform Fei Yu-ching on the bad news until after a few days following the passing to respect the wishes of their father, who did not want his son to cancel performances and disappoint fans.
