Fashion label Y21 launches capsule with Yan Ong from Grey Evolution in The Modern Muse
Subtle details and pops of colour are what make the Y21 x Grey Evolution's second collaboration stand out.
Sartorial options for those beyond a certain age are limiting, especially in Singapore. However, senior fashion model Yan Ong is set to change things with the second collaboration with Y21 (previously Yacht 21) in the Y21 X Grey Evolution – Modern Muse Collection. The new age-inclusive capsule collection of The Modern Muse Collection features timeless and versatile pieces in classic and bold colours. It celebrates the transformative journeys of the modern woman and is currently available at Tangs.
The 67-year-old Yan part-time model, grandmother of two and co-founder of artisanal home-grown coffee brewery 1degreeC, believes that having fun with fashion should not stop with age. With The Modern Muse Collection, she hopes to encourage women of all ages to be stylish and have fun with their clothes, should they choose to.

Look out for a reversible top that may be worn front or back, solid-coloured jackets with patterned cuffs that may be folded for a quirky look, long dresses with slits and patterns at the calf, as well as a shirt dress that may be worn as a jacket. These mini details are input from Yan, who's started working with the designer and founder of Y21, Jarenis Ho because she had difficulty finding nicer-looking clothes suitable for her. Y21 is known for its versatile urban resort pieces for the modern woman with a strong sense of style who desires multi-functional outfits that can be worn anywhere, for work, party or vacation. For The Modern Muse, the designer made sure that the collection appeals to women of all ages in style, functionality and colour scheme.
