Famous Taiwanese bakery Wu Pao Chun opens second outlet at Paragon, Orchard
Bread fanatics, there’s no need to travel all the way down to City Hall for your Wu Pao Chun bread fix: the famous Taiwanese bakery has opened a second outlet at Paragon Shopping Centre along Orchard Road.
Wu Pao Chun opened its first outlet in Capitol Piazza in City Hall back in 2019. Over the years, this Taiwanese bakery has gained popularity for its wide selection of high quality freshly baked bread and pastries.
The bakery was founded by Taiwanese baker Mr Wu Pao Chun, whose signature Champion Breads won him the world-champion title in the 2010 Les Masters de la Boulangerie competition.
If you’re in the area, be sure to grab their award-winning Champion Breads, which are available in Lychee Rose Royale and Red Wine Longan (S$21.80 for whole, S$14.80 for half).
If you’re seeking a quick bite, try out the popular mochi buns, which are filled with chewy, stretchy mochi— Sesame Joy (S$2.80), which comes with black sesame filling, and Nutty Together (S$2.80), which consists of peanut butter.
Other buns include Spring Blossom (S$2.20), a bread containing spring onions, Curry Chicken Crunch (S$2.60), a fried bun filled with curry chicken and hard boiled egg, and Ah-Pollo (S$2.60), a bun with a bo luo crust, filled with custard.
Aside from bread, Wu Pao Chun also has pastries like their Salted Egg Pineapple Cake (S$18.80 for 6 pieces, S$33 for 12 pieces), a classic and delicious Taiwanese treat.
Though Wu Pao Chun’s bakes are slightly pricier than other bakeries in Singapore, the quality of each of its products certainly speaks for itself. With its new outlet conveniently located in Paragon, I do look forward to my next Wu Pao Chun bread haul very soon.
